General Terms and Conditions – CoralBay Bungalows Solarte

1. Check-In / Check-Out

 

We want your stay to be smooth from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave:

• Check-In: From 3:00 PM (if possible, please arrive before 8:00 PM)

• Check-Out: By 11:00 AM

2. Cancellation & Refunds

 

To confirm your reservation, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

The remaining 50% is due 90 days before arrival.

 

Because we have only a few units and hold your bungalow exclusively for you, the following applies:

 

Cancellations 90 days or more before arrival:

The 50% deposit is non-refundable. (Any balance already paid will be refunded, minus bank or card processing fees.)

 

Cancellations 89 days or fewer before arrival:

The full amount of the stay is non-refundable.

 

No-shows:

The full amount of the stay will be charged.

 

We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected events.

If we ever need to cancel your stay due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund all payments in full.

Please note that processing fees are set by the providers and are non-refundable.

All payments are processed securely. Processing fees are determined by the payment providers and cannot be waived.

4. Booking Details

​

• The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old.

• All rates are based on 2 guests per bungalow.

• Only registered guests are permitted on the property.

• Third-party visitors may only enter with our prior approval.

• Full payment according to our payment schedule (deposit and final balance) is required to secure your booking.

5. Age Policy

 

We welcome guests 16 years and older.

Our property is designed as a quiet and relaxing retreat, and maintaining this minimum age policy helps ensure the peaceful atmosphere our guests value so much.

6. Be Considerate

We’re all here to relax.

Please respect the privacy and comfort of your fellow guests, our neighbors, and our team.

If noise or behavior becomes disruptive, we may need to step in to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone — and nobody wants that.

7. Internet Use

​

Our WiFi is available free of charge and works well for browsing, messaging, and streaming. To keep the connection stable for everyone, please avoid heavy downloads, large uploads, or online gaming during your stay.

​

8. Damage & Replacement Policy

​​

At CoralBay, we put a lot of care into high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and durable equipment in all bungalows and shared areas.

If an item is damaged beyond normal wear and tear or goes missing, we kindly ask guests to cover the replacement cost.

​

Additional Notes:

• Replacement values reflect market prices in Panama, including import, shipping, duties, and transport to Solarte.

• If the original model is unavailable, an item of similar quality will be used for replacement.

• For missing items, the full replacement value applies.

• For damaged items, either the repair cost or the replacement value will be applied — whichever is lower.

• Please report any accidental damage as soon as possible; we will always assist in resolving the issue smoothly.

9. Smoking

 

Smoking is permitted only on private terraces and in clearly designated outdoor areas.

Smoking inside the bungalows is not allowed.

​

10. Pets & Service Animals

We love animals, but unfortunately we are not able to accommodate pets or service animals at CoralBay Bungalows.
 

11. Privacy & Personal Data

 

We handle your personal data with great care and use it only for managing your reservation and providing our services.

12. House Rules – Simple & Fair

​

To keep CoralBay peaceful and enjoyable for everyone, please observe the following guidelines:

• Quiet time: after 11:00 PM

• No illegal substances on the property

• No outside visitors without prior permission

• Please do not remove towels or linens from the property
  (Beach towels may be taken off-site.)

• Help us conserve resources by turning off lights, fans, and air circulation when leaving the bungalow

​

13. Staying Over the Water – A Note on Safety

 

Staying directly above the ocean is a wonderful experience, but it also requires awareness and personal responsibility.

 

Please exercise caution at all times when moving around the decks, docks, and walkways.

​

CoralBay Bungalows cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries, or losses.

The use of the sea, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment, and all other water-related activities is at your own risk.

​

14. If Things Go Wrong

 

We reserve the right to cancel a reservation without refund if a guest seriously violates these terms or behaves in a way that endangers others or the property.

 

Of course, we truly hope this will never be necessary.

15. Governing Law

 

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama.

The place of jurisdiction is Bocas del Toro, Panama.
