Built for Safety, Comfort & Durability

CoralBay’s overwater bungalows were completed in February 2025 and designed with long-term stability and guest comfort in mind.

Each bungalow is elevated slightly higher above sea level, ensuring that even during rougher sea conditions or tropical storms, waves do not reach the living areas. The structures stand on solid concrete pillars, connected by reinforced concrete rings. This engineering minimizes movement and absorbs wave energy, creating a stable and secure overwater experience.

Solid Construction in a Demanding Environment

Building over the sea means constant exposure to saltwater, wind, heavy rain, and intense tropical sun. For this reason, CoralBay was constructed with durability as a priority:

  • Reinforced concrete foundation system

  • High-quality pine wood throughout the structure, selected for its resistance to pests

  • Traditional-style palm roofing that keeps interiors naturally cool and dry while lasting significantly longer than standard thatch

  • Continuous professional maintenance by our on-site team

Our bungalows are not temporary island structures — they are solidly built homes over the water.

Sustainable Water & Comfort Systems

Water management is carefully planned to ensure reliability year-round.

  • A desalination system supplies fresh water during the hot, dry months

  • Rainwater is collected and reused during the rainy season

  • A large filtration system ensures excellent water quality

To provide consistent comfort, hot water circulates continuously beneath the walkways. This allows hot water to be immediately available in the bathrooms while reducing overall water waste — a small but meaningful luxury in Panama.
